Anyone Up For Throwing a DISC

If you are ever considering it—I highly recommend trying a little disc golf with your family. It’s a great way to be outside in the sunshine and pick up fun little forest items. As Clara and I walk from each tee pad we find so many fun items to build fairy houses with, leaves to pick up, or rocks to paint. It is great exercise and a source of memories I will keep in my heart for years to come. Not to mention all the laughs we have together after watching me throw. HA!

September 22, 2024 Storytime & Sundays at the 50’s Diner

Dedham, MA

Who doesn’t want to enjoy ice cream while being read a lovely story about Clara’s Curiosity & Her Foxy Friend? The children enjoyed ice cream while I read aloud, and we finished with fun fall coloring activities!

September 14, 2024Treehouse Toys: Reading & Signing Event

Biddeford, Maine

I was so delighted to be invited to my hometown of Biddeford, Maine for an event with this newly opened shop. It’s such a wonderful environment for kids, with room to sit and read a book and look at all the great toys too. Stop in and look for my book on the shelf!

August 19, 2024 – First Library Donation

Kennebunk, Maine

We were invited to do a storytime puppet reading and book signing at the Kennebunk Free Library where I presented my first library book donation in front of a dozen children. I read the story aloud with my fox puppet, followed by a group pledge to read books outside, and a fun coloring activity page all the kids enjoyed.

August 3, 2024 – Booklove Bookstore

Pinehills – Plymouth, MA

My first Bookstore Reading & Signing Event was such a success, with local parents from Pinehills stopping in for this reading with their children. I was delighted to also see my brother and sister-in-law, Larry & Gail, and much to my surprise my neighbor showed up from Dedham, MA, with his two lovely children, Willa & Roman. Willa is truly the number one fan of Clara’s Curiosity & Her Foxy Friends

August 1, 2024 – Trillium on Main

Biddeford, Maine

It was my first public booksiging in my hometown of Biddeford, Maine, with an overwhelming turnout of over fourty attendees! We had a group of more than a dozen young readers eager to hear Clara’s Curiosity & Her Foxy Friends read aloud after they all received their name tags. Their eyes were thrilled when the fox puppet made its appearance. The support from family and friends while Paul & I autographed book after book was beyond what I could have hoped for. It was so lovely to share this day with all my family and friends, my husband Fran, and my son Craig.

July 30, 2024 We Meet Again…

Celebration with Plymouth Library’s curious young reading group!

These beautiful young readers are the first children that ever saw my manuscript before it went to a publisher. They all agreed to be part of my field study test back in October 2022, and this photo was taken during our group reveal and presentation of the first print run.

Each child was gifted a copy which we read together as a group—they were so excited to see a dedication mentioning each of them at the opening of the book!

Thank you Alexa, Cleo, Harper, Grace, Isabel, Emily, and Anne!

July 27, 2024 Tuck-in-Storytime on Curlew Pond!

Plymouth, MA

This is where my summer home is and where I wrote my story during the pandemic. It was such a joy to read to a group of young children from Blueberry Hill Campground.

July 2024 – It’s Here! I’m holding it!!!!

Paul & Clara review the page proof’s the day they arrived…

Clara, confused, says . . . “Dad, they didn’t make it into a book, Aunt Karen will not be happy!” Hahaha
